‘Find My Fund’ app is to make the ‘Funding Opportunity tracking’ and expressing interest in Funding Opportunity related workshops a simpler and seamless process for the University of Auckland ( UoA) registered Researchers and Staff.
This App will be aimed at the following audiences registered with the UoA (including but not limited to):
- Emerging or junior researchers applying for funding.
- Local research support.
- Senior researchers applying for programme Funding Opportunity or for specific Funding
Opportunity for the first time.
- BDM’s (Business Development Managers).
- BU’s (Business Units).
This App would help the researchers to be pro-active (as we will be sending them Push notifications for upcoming dates) and plan for the Funding Opportunities in advance, which would hence improve the quality and success rate of Funding applications submitted.
All the Funding opportunity data will be retrieved from Research Professional (licensed partner with UoA) in our CMS-Drupal backend in CSV format and then will be used to display the opportunities in App.
‘FMF’ app will allow researchers to connect earlier and easily with UniServices Business Development Managers and local research support for training materials and workshops.
The App only provide the information for the upcoming Funding/ Grant application and workshop dates. The user will not be able to submit the application or book workshop using this app.
There are links to redirect the users to ‘Research Professional’ and ‘Research Gateway’ ( UoA intranet) for the detailed information and for applying for the Funding opportunities.
An increase in the quality of funding applications will increase the success of applications.
The mobile app will reduce the reactive approach to applying for funding which results in last minute, sub-standard applications with a low conversion rate.
An Admin Portal will also be set up in Drupal backend which would allow the University Of Auckland Funds and Research team to enter the Internal deadlines and Workshop dates manually.
